Our Commitment to Anti-Bias and Equitable Care

Systems of oppression and racism, both past and present, have led to the exclusion of many pregnant people from high-quality care and support. This exclusion perpetuates devastating disparities in health outcomes, particularly for Black, Latinx, Pacific Islander, and non-binary birthing people, as well as their babies. While addressing these inequities requires significant systemic change, Hatch Midwifery is committed to taking meaningful action at the local level.

To help reduce barriers to care, we provide sliding scale fees for BIPOC and non-binary birthing families to access our personalized prenatal, postpartum, and lactation services. 

We are deeply committed to working with and referring to a network of culturally concordant care providers in the San Francisco Bay Area. We believe that culturally congruent care is essential for fostering trust and improving outcomes for families facing systemic barriers.

At Hatch Midwifery, we are dedicated to continued learning, self-reflection, and active participation in the conversations and actions necessary to dismantle the barriers so many families face during their childbearing years.
